Venue: Slab Common, Petersfield

Result 4th overall

Saturday had been torrential rain all day so nobody was looking forward to what the track may be like, the track is known to be a bike wrecker at the best of times. Didnt have a great start to the day when I filled my bike with fuel and saw I had worn through my oversized tank and fuel was just coming out the side so we changed to the standard tank which meant I would have to fuel three times instead of two. I chose not to do the sighting lap to save the brake pads. The flag went down and I was behind Bolter which was fine, Aston Bird came by a little later but I soon took that place back, Wakley was next but I later passed him in a heap in the deep sand, I Lost my pads after 50 minutes but carried on till 1 hour 20 and came into change them, I was in second at the time just three minutes off Bolter, Fuel went in quickly and pads came out quickly but there was so much sand in there I couldnt get the new ones back in, I lost nearly 6 minutes sorting this, and two places. Got going again and finished the race in 4th. Glad to see Warner out there and hope your hands didnt get to cold today mate like last week!! Even better to see Bolter back on bike and winning again, Well done to Mike, Tom Sager and the team for keeping us out of the real bad parts of that course and making a good race out of the venue, as it could have easily been a disaster but once again guys, a great event.

Venue: Somerley park, Hampshire

Result 2nd overall

The temperature was well below freezing and the track looked very icy in places but mainly sandy so it was looking ok, We were held at the start for quite a while which didnt please anyone sitting in the cold but we were let loose in the end, I decided against going for the lead off the start as I hadnt walked the track so tagged on the back of Wakley for the first lap where we managed to break free untill his husky stopped and I was out front on my own. On the second lap I hit a deep hole and went straight over the bars which let Wakley and Mark Cormick pass, I caught Comick back up and took the place only for him to ride straight into me and take me clean out a few corners later, cheers, I will remember that move!!. I soon took the place back, cleanly, and pulled a three minute gap, Finished second to Si. Freezing cold but a good result and a great track.
