Report:   With most races cancelled for this weekend it was left to the reme team to show that it was possible to run an event whatever the weather. The track had been shortened but there was still a 5 mile loop which was fine for this venue there was also quite a lot of ice still on the fireroads but it wasnt going to be won or lost on those sections so that didnt matter too much.  With this being the only event to run it was no suprise that riders arrived from quite far away, good to see Jamie paget, Brad King and Julian Harvey to name a few. The flag dropped at bang on 11am (or should i say the gun fired). I got the jump off the line and then eased off into the first few corners over the ice and went into the woods in 2nd, I took the lead after a few hundred metres and got a move on to try and establish a lead,  Julian stuck with me for a while and we had a good battle over the logs sections, I could see we had left the rest of the field at that point though, I then managed to gap Julian shortly after and started to work on my lead.  About half way round the first lap I saw paget very briefly behind me which spurred me on so I picked up the pace some more. I built my lead steadily through the race and finshed as the winner just over 4 minutes clear. I was riding my 290 four stroke which ran perfectly all day, the extra power felt perfect in the deeper sandy holes and it just gets the power down so well. I thought the reme team did an excellent job keeping the event flowing so well done to you guys. Thanks as always to my pit crew, who once again did a wicked job. Great to see Brad King racing again as the last time I saw him on a bike was went he broke his back in Hungary.

Report:   The final round of the south east centre hare and hounds championship was to be run at the Witley annual boxing day event, I havent ridden this event for many years, but as it made up the final round of this championship which I was leading I decided to ride it for a change, obviously the days leading upto the event were not my usual pre race preperations, in fact much the opposite, getting in the xmas spirit and drinking and eating far too much but never mind. Dispite the weather which had been terrible I was looking forward to this race and was very keen to teach the moto x riders a lesson in enduro, there were some fairly big names that had turned up from the mx world and I knew I would need to get a move on early in the race. The race started by a short dash to the bike, I managed to stay on my feet only just but got a bad start, somewhere near the back, within 5 mins I had made my way upto 2nd but couldnt see 1st place so put a real push on for lap two and managed to get in front, I pushed on for an hour and got a big lead, from there it easy to control the race with my pit crew pushing me to keep building the lead. The track got fairly cut up and you needed to ride smart towards the end to avoid any dramas, but I thought considering the weather of late the course was good, alot of bikes though (350 I think), It is a shame there were some people cutting the course AGAIN, but they are only cheating themselves and we all know who they are. A Great event and my last one this year, its been a mega year and to finish it off with another championship title is awesome. A massive thank you to Andy at Poole motorcycles, Pitman Rich, Chris at Metzler tyres, Daisy and everyone that has hepled me out this year, we have had some great results and I am already training and getting the bikes ready for next year. Andy has almost finished building the engine for the british bike which is something a bit special, cant wait to ride it.  See you in 2010

Report:   Another great race by the Eastern centre team, The weather had been real bad up untill today but the course was perfect, the times were just right with only three of us making the final tight check on time, The test was about four and a half mins in the sand which was a good length and it cut up real nice for the second test, my times were a bit down on the the first one but I improved a lot on the second, I had been off the bike for over two weeks though so I wasnt too suprised. In the end Chris Hockey (kiwi) took the win, Julian Harvey 2nd and me 3rd, I was just over 2 seconds off Julian and just over 9 seconds off kiwi at the end of the day, so all is looking good at the moment, Race reports have been a bit slack recently because I have been away so much and not had much time but should be back on track now, The gallery will be updated next week with photos from the europeon championship and the isde so keep an eye on that.
