Europeon championship day two
Sunday, April 12th, 2009Venue: Riom Des Mountains, France
Result: 14th E1
After the disappointment of yesterday I was keen to get a good result, it was still raining and I wasnt looking forward to the riding conditions, the tests were getting very tricky, they had cut alot of the extreme test out as it impossible to ride. We had expected the race to be cut to one lap but it stayed at two but they had given us 5 minutes more each check which meant 7 hours in the saddle today aswell. I managed to complete the day and finish 14th in class which I was pleased about, It was an extremely hard but enjoyable event. I have learnt a lot this weekend, riding this terrain, the tests were awesome and some of the going was SO challanging, you had to see it to believe it. Well done to everyone who finished and congratulations to Leo for topping his class. It was a massive team effort to compete at this race so a big thank you to Kurt Pringle for driving and spannering the bike, Dave Moyce for travel and accommodation arrangements, Ollie for the mentoring and entertainment and keeping the video diary, need to work on your golf though mate, shame you couldnt ride, the girls for sorting the shopping and dinner etc, Daisy for helping out on the tests, Al king for the fueling and everyone else who was there really. Cant wait for Hungry next month.
