Once again a big entry for this race, there were a few names not there making a protest after the last race, but it was pretty much business as usual. There was a long delay waiting for the start as we had to wait for the air ambulance to take someone from the morning race. I had a terrible start, the bike fired up but I missed first gear, I think it was only Bolter and Sager who had a worse start and who were behind me. The course was ok a mix of ground on peaty top soil on a bed of loose rocks which made the riding interesting, I had a steady ride nothing too exciting really and felt I could have gone faster but having said that riders were crashing out everywhere, so maybe I had the right strategy. A few points in the bag, on to the next race!
